I come to the concept of betrayal with an interest in agency and personhood. While I have been working on a relational account of autonomy, I have recently put that on hold as I pursue conceptual analysis of trust and betrayal. I am in the midst of working on a contextual account of trust where both trustor and trustee dynamically effect the trust relationship. Upon gaining a better understanding of trust I intend to study betrayal and its relation (or lack thereof) to trust. Further, I am interested in connecting trust and betrayal to relational autonomy with the goal of illuminating the foundational role that trust plays in the lives of moral agents.

In between instances of trying to assure those around me that betrayal is only a philosophical concern of mine, I enjoy surfing, running and travel.
